God of the Bible vs. God of other religions

Postby BC Editor on 26 Nov 2007, 21:26

Dear all,

the Bible speaks of the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ as being the one true God, the creator of heavens and earth, the Almighty God.
Many religions of the world recognize a supreme Being as their "true God", and a question is often asked when people of different religious backgrounds get into a discussion about God:
Are the different religions actually referring to the same Supreme Being as "true God", even though they are using different names and/or titles (such as YHWH, God, Allah, etc.)? In other words, do Christianity and other religions believe in and worship the same one God, or do they believe in and worship different Beings as "God"? If so, how can it be determined who does believe in and worship the true God?
God bless you,
Wolfgang Schneider

Easy, Gideon's fleece!

:) Just kidding. I know how one old relic collector tests for authentic relics. He uses the "taste test" of course for genune relics. Yes, he actually licks them and says the genuines taste salty or something. He's been on The Naked Archeologist's shows on The History Channel. He's quite a character. :/

There's one for sure who knows who the one true God is, that is the one true God. If He ever forgets something we're in big trouble. :)

Sorry I didn't answer the question so well but it's nice to remember or have faith that God at least knows who He is. :)
